Our Story

Kieran Dunleavy started the company over 20 years ago with a simple frustration: too many jobs were being rushed, painted over and sold as finished. Surfaces that weren't prepared. Detail that wasn't respected. Work that looked fine on the day and tired within a year.

He set out to do the opposite — take the time, get the preparation right, and treat every property as if it mattered. The first jobs came from neighbours and friends of friends. They led to bigger ones, then to period homes and restorations where the standard of finish genuinely showed, and over the years that quiet, referral-led growth built Dunleavy Decor into one of Dublin's leading premium painting and decorating companies.

Today Kieran leads a team of 8–10 skilled painters and decorators, taking on residential restoration, premium home finishes and large commercial projects across the city. We've grown almost entirely on recommendation — and the standard Kieran set on day one hasn't moved since.

To set the standard for premium painting and decorating in Dublin.
